A FAMILIAR SIGHT
Larger volumes mean speedier transhipment. A first wave of investments (purchase of containers and modifications to ships) has made the 45ft container into a familiar sight within shortsea shipping in northern and western Europe. The same is now also happening in southern and eastern European ports.
