VUCAframe - an innovation in finished vehicle logistics

In collaboration with Van Uden, UNIT45 has designed and developed an innovative container frame for multimodal transport of cars; the Vucaframe.

Compatible with the 40ft container infrastructure, this patented design enables the operator to transporting two carframes at once by road using a standard container chassis.

This efficient solution for distributing (new) cars from factory to customer provides lower logistic costs, a reduction of handling and damage to or theft of the vehicles. Each frame is able to transport two, three or four cars making it suitable for both low and high volume distribution. By using special high-strength steel a high durability and a long life has been achieved.

With its gooseneck tunnel design the frame meets all legal requirements of the relevant road and rail authorities. It is also suitable for transport by sea.

Stacking the frames up to seven high the frame consequently gives a high density storage and instant capacity making an expensive infrastructure unnecessary as well as the flexibility to increase and downsize your storage capacity very easy on demand.

This unique frame design features swinging header for car access to driving deck, perforated driving lanes for securing off cars with lashes and open container sides for easy driver access, making the frame a must-have for all car operators.
